Kon Reitler welcomes you to the historic Franklin Tavern - which
this year is celebrating 160 years in Franklin.
The first Franklin Tavern began life in 1846 as a general
store situated higher up on the hill. Licensee Elijah Brown decided
to move the hotel closer to the road in 1853 – it became
the Franklin Hotel and was later renamed the Federal Hotel.
In
1977 the present owner, Kon Reitler, purchased the hotel and undertook
an extensive restoration program, changing the name to Franklin
Tavern.
Today
you can sit by the cosy log fire and soak up the old world ambiance
whilst enjoying friendly service, great food and good wine.
As
well as our special menus during the week, don't forget our $9.90
Roast all day every Sunday
We
look forward to welcoming you soon
